CHIPO: I’m single and worried. As an intercessor I have times that I want to be in a closet with God Almighty, praying between 12am to 2am or even 5am.

What if I get married to a man who also wants sex at those times? How will I handle it? Our Pastor also chose our Chief Intercessor to be a widow who has no plans of ever re-marrying.
I’m so glad you have a passion to work for God.
I also want to stress that marriage is God’s idea and so is sex.
Having sex with your husband is both a spiritual and a natural exercise – it is healthy for your body and soul.
That is why God himself said “marriage is honourable.” If Marriage was going to hinder our spiritual lives God wouldn’t have said “It is NOT good for a person to be alone”.
If you believe marriage can hinder your Christian life in anyway, then revise your beliefs as they could be twisted.
I’m very sure, according to the Bible, intercession can be done at any time and still be powerful. Prayer is not limited by time or distance. And a major sign of maturity whether in life or Christianity – is flexibility.
You should be flexible enough to set a time for prayer that will not hinder your ministry to your spouse.
I just want you to know early in your life that the church is not your spouse – it is Jesus’ spouse.
I don’t know which church you go to – but I know you respect the Bible. From a Biblical perspective, no-one can get married to the church because the Church is already Jesus’ bride.
Some people say “I’m married to Jesus” and that’s a lie. Jesus said he is marrying the church NOT marrying church members.
Jesus knows the needs of his spouse and goes all the way to fulfil them. You too must know the needs of your partner and fulfil them just as Christ did.
That is the true meaning of being a Christian.
I hope you will fall in love with a God-loving Man, and together you will love each other while loving God.
